Abstract
This work opens a cycle of four articles, which are a brief excursion into the history cosmology and cosmogony
of the Solar System, covering the time scale – from the most ancient times up to the present day. The
release of this cycle is dedicated to the 135-th anniversary of the birth of the world-famous Russian scientist
Fridman A. A., the founder of modern physical cosmology and the author of the first non-stationary model
of the Universe. This article is devoted to an overview of the most famous examples of cosmological and
cosmogonic models of the structure of the Universe and the Solar system at the Ancient world. In particular,
in this paper, we consider the Model of the obvious Universe at the prehistoric times, cosmological models of
Ancient Egypt, Babylon and China. Special attention devoted to astronomy and cosmological models created
by prominent thinkers of Ancient Greece. The main purpose of this excursion is an attempt to trace the
evolution of representation man’s knowledge of the Universe and identify the main ¾bifurcation points¿ in
the history of these branches of astronomy.
